Training of Trainers:
Monthly meetings
and activities for new and old trainers before and during training
phase of teachers allowed for an exchange of experience, development
of knowledge around children’s literature, analysis of children’s
books, development of new activities and discussion on different
aspects of children's literature. The Trainers worked in 6 groups

Training of teachers
133 groups of
teachers and supervisors were trained between summer 2003 and August
1, 2004. The training mainly targeted elementary teachers for the
first and second grades and Arabic Language teachers for grades
3-10.

Book
Distribution
Since the beginning of the project, 10 copies of 35 titles
of children's literature have been distributed to 1,000 schools in
the West Bank and Gaza Strip; in other words 10,000 copies of each
book. This is a collection of high quality, motivating local and
international books which enhance positive values and encourage
respect for diversity and gender equity. All of the books are
enjoyable and none of them preach.
