The
Project aims at enriching teacher’s capacity to use
literature in the classroom and to use creative
activities in bringing this literature to life.
Innovative approaches, such as art activities, cross
reading, discussion, creative writing, exhibitions,
drama and linguistic games are used to achieve this.
35 children’s books, including world and local
classics, are used in this project. The books cover
important issues that are portrayed through a
“story” - diversity, tolerance, difference,
respecting nature, dealing with life and death as
well as gender.
Such a
project becomes even more crucial in the current
situation where closures and checkpoints threaten
the whole educational traditional system while,
through reading a child becomes a creative thinker
and is able to pursue his lifelong learning process.
